Dan Perjovschi collaborated with a group of young people and with an adult group in order to create a urban art platform. It represents a live chronicle of the city’s inhabitants through site-specific interventions, which take the form of drawn comments. These mobile walls represent a non-museum collection, a new urban poesy.
The project started during the Sibiu International Theatre Festival on the occasion of the première of Solitaritate, a creation by Gianina Cărbunariu. It reunites artists, graffers and regular people around a public debate on society and nowadays political situation of Romania and the world.
Site-specific interventions in Avignon (July 2014) and in Brussels (January 2015) gradually complete the drawings. Upon termination of every project, the drawings are reunited in a publication, a Horizontal Newspaper on the realities of the 21st century.
The exhibition will be presented to the public during the representations of Solitaritate on tour. In Brussels, the creation will be accompanied by Dan Perjovschi, who will draw live at the Théâtre National/Bruxelles.
